Dr Angela Durante, Permaculture Food Growing

Hi, I’m Angela! Welcome to Homestead Haven.

I’m a homesteader and food grower here in Ontario, Canada, where I live with my family. We produce almost all of our own food and medicine and we’re crazy about sustainability and food security. If you’re here, you already know that quality food is a cornerstone of health and knowing how to grow food no matter the circumstance is valuable skill. Permaculture is a fabulous guide for learning how to be more observant, how to integrate systems (in the garden and in your life!) and how to keep the sustainability wheel turning so that we no longer need to rely on outside inputs like fertilizers, seeds or excessive water.

The principle goal in our season-long course interaction is to grow as much healthy food and medicine as possible for our families and our communities and to regenerate the landscape while we do it.

The MARCH - APRIL session of PERMACULTURE FOOD GROWING 101 is going to run slightly ahead of the growing season in our hemisphere, so it’s great timing for anyone eager to get their hands dirty and learn to grow food with others.
